Greensboro is “The Gate City of the Triad”. Centrally located in North Carolina midway between the beach and the mountains Greensboro is a very diverse and thriving community. Centrally located between three major interstates; I-40, I-85, and I-73 Greensboro is truly the Gate City of the Triad. The third largest city in North Carolina and the heart of the Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point), and the heart of the Atlantic Coast Conference for college sports. The home to University of North Carolina in Greensboro (UNCG), North Carolina Agriculture and Technical College (NC A&T), Greensboro College, Guilford College, Bennett College, next door in Winston Salem is Wake Forest University, just a short drive to the east are University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), Duke University, and North Carolina State University (NCSU). In Greensboro there are many attractions and wonderful sites to see and over ninety miles of trails and greenways including parks, hiking, mountain biking trails near and around the many lakes surrounding Greensboro. The new ACC Hall of Champions, Animal Discovery Zoological Park at the Greensboro Science Center, Greensboro Grasshoppers Baseball, always plenty going on at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex and much more.
